Mark Elmer has been practicing in the field of Orthotics for over thirty years now, and also in Private Practice for over 20 years.
He held the position of Head of Orthotics at the North Bristol NHS Trust for eight years and as a senior manager was responsible for the Orthotics Departments of most major and minor
hospitals in the Bristol and Bath area. He also practiced and specialised at Bath's Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic
Diseases for ten years.
His clinical experience is comprehensive and includes Orthopaedics, Diabetic MDTs and Rheumatoid patients. Additionally his career has always revolved around Paediatrics dealing with
complex neuromuscular conditions such as cerebral palsy; and increasingly in the field of sports orthoses.
Mark Elmer is a member of BAPO and is HCPC registered. The Health and Care Profession's Council (HCPC) is the body that
monitors and provides registration. This is obtained following the 4 year degree course specialising in Orthotics and Prosthetics. Mark Elmer is married and has two
children.
